We are an independent Málaga-based practice dedicated to international clients relocating, investing, or building their future in Spain. Immigration, property, and tax law do not exist in isolation, neither should your legal advice. We handle the intersections under one roof, because in practice, they form a single, interconnected strategy, backed by an impeccable track record and a solid client portfolio built over more than 30 years.
How we work
Most clients arrive having already researched extensively and formed a preliminary plan. Often, that trajectory is sound; occasionally, it is fundamentally flawed. Our first step is a rigorous viability check—because a misfiled application costs months of your time, and government fees are non-refundable.
From there, the work is unglamorous, highly technical, and uncompromising: verifying apostilles, auditing insurer compliance, and cross-checking documentation standards whether submitted from Spain or through a consulate abroad. We operate with transparent, fixed fee structures, we never start until alignment is total
Who you will be working with
Ainara Petralanda Vijande
Admitted to the Málaga Bar (ICAM nº 11390), holding a law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and specialized qualification as a notary officer (opositora a notarías). My path into international mobility is deeply personal: having lived for three years in Australia, my second home. I spent years navigating visa renewals and immigration files myself. It was there that I met my partner, with whom I have built a long-term family and future, successfully steering his residency and legal integration through every bureaucratic hurdle until he became a Spanish citizen.
This lived experience, combined with an elite corporate and financial background (including advisory roles with PwC España, Unicaja Banco, and OPPLUS, alongside three years in the banking division of Macquarie Bank in Sydney), is why I founded this practice. I know firsthand what it means to move your life across borders. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
Thays Vijande Fernández
Over 40 years at the bar as a practicing lawyer and accredited Real Estate Agent (API nº 667). Furthermore, she is an official technical, judicial, and real estate expert (perito técnico, judicial e inmobiliario) with full authority to issue certified property appraisals across Spain. Fully active in practice, she provides invaluable oversight on legacy property structures, expert valuations, and complex civil law matters, remaining an essential pillar of the history and rigor of this practice.
